Lancaster Smokehouse in Kitchener

Had to go try this place out after several people told us about there food and they where spot on. The ribs , brisket and wings where delicious cooked to perfection. We love the bbq sauces . We will have too return to try some other menu items as watching other plates go by are table all looked amazing.

Absolutely delicious. Friendly and professional staff. This is a gem in our community and I am never disappointed when we go. Wing night is a must in a Monday. They always cater to make sure you are more than satisfied.

We ordered for pick up and had left overs for the next day. Great food and it was so easy to call order and pay.

Great BBQ cooking. Had the Brisket sandwich and I was stuffed. The caramel pecan cheesecake is like crack....so addictive

Really good food with really large portions. I found the food was really salty so next time I'm going to ask for light on the salt. We were served by Danielle and she was fantastic. She anticipated our every need and any time I thought about something to ask her for, she was already bringing it over. Great service!

Really enjoyed the pulled pork and the brisket. The sausage was nothing to write home about. The beans and rice and corned bread were also good. We ordered the mains with 3 meats, 2 sides and cornbread and it was definitely more than enough for two people. I would definitely go back.

By far the best restaurant in town. AMAZING food and service. Love this place!

I'm glad they've survived the pandemic however today there are more flies inside the restaurant than there are outside.VERY SMALL MENU for the forseeable future.No onion rings and others.I guess this is better than nothing but until they open up fully you're being ripped off of the true awesomeness of this place.

When I lived in KW this used to be my favourite restaurant. Unfortunately over the four years I was there, the quality slipped. The worst instance was when there was a wedding upstairs; they basically let the dining room on the main floor go to the dogs. The ribs were dry, the kitchen forgot how to make Nashville hot chicken (that is to say, they didn't make it hot). That was thankfully the last time I went, as I moved away from the area a few weeks later. Still, every so often I remember how great that restaurant was in 2015-2017. Too bad.

The ambience is relaxing. The portion is big. I've been there twice and I wasn't able to finish my food there once, but of course that's just me, other customers finished their food. The server is nice, she'll answer all your questions with patience and a beautiful smile. Their dessert now has its own section so you can buy them to go as you leave. Since I'm only there twice, I can only tell you if you like your grits with salsa don't order their grit, but may be you can let them now and you get what you want.

What does heaven taste like? You will find out when you visit The Lancaster Smokehouse. I started with the hush puppies, every bite was like eating an angel. I only ate two because I knew what was coming, that 3 meat platter. Brisket so tender that it flakes apart from the lightest touch of a fork. Ribs so good, you can't help but getting sauce all over your face. Chicken thighs so juicy that their tenderness competes with the sauce slathered all over them. Want to know about sides? You won't find comparable collared greens or red beans and rice anywhere north of the mason dixon. Trust me when I say that coming here once will turn you into an addict. A BBQ ADDICT.

This place is amazing and has never ever once disappointed me until tonight. While the usual... service was great, drinks were topped before ever going empty.... But the change to the fried chicken, not good!!! Bring back the old super cripsy (super BIG) fried chicken!!!!!

The food was amazing and surpassed expectation. The only disappointment was the adult drink selection.

Our go-to place for BBQ, nothing else compares in KW. Service is always fast, food fresh and delicious, portions are VERY generous, and price is on point. Highly recommend their wing night as well, best wings I’ve ever had. Have been here dozens of times and have yet to be disappointed!! Keep up the great work!

The food is phenomenal! It is very reasonably priced especially due to the quality and portion you receive. The service is really good and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Because it is such a great place, it is usually quite busy so make sure to plan ahead either with reservations or be willing to wait. It'll definitely be worth it!

I normally give this place 5 stars unfortunately we got the ribs and both times they came out with BBQ sauce burnt. The server did her best to smooth it over. The manager never came over and checked which I felt odd. But all.my other experiences here were 5 star.

This place never disappoints! The food is always amazing and large portions. Fresh sides and the service is amazing. Always friendly they are quick to serve and always come by to check on you and the food. I had the cornmeal deep fried catfish and it was amazing. The coating was very crispy and the fish was so flaky! I would definitely go back.

The only bbq/smokehouse my inlaws from texas will eat. They are picky and this is the best place north of Tennessee. I drive over an hour for dinner.

The Lancaster Smokehouse is a must try restaurant in the Waterloo region (if you’re not a vegetarian...). The choice of meats is excellent and all of them taste insanely good. I love getting the ribs and chicken together because I can’t pick only one. The side dishes are also tasty, I usually go for Mac & cheese and tater tots. Last but not least you are given a bunch of barbecue sauces on the table to use as you wish and they all taste good!

Food here is amazing! Ribs literally fall off the bone, brisket is delicious. The venue itself was somewhat recently remodeled and looks much nicer, while still retaining the old feel. The menu items are very well priced and the food portions are hefty (most people always leave with takeout). Service is fast and very friendly. 5 stars well deserved.

When we want BBQ there is only one place to go and that is the Lanc. OK Lancaster Smokehouse. We try and get there at least once a month . there Ribs , Brisket ,Wings All smoked to perfection is to good to talk about! They have all sorts of other good things hush-puppies , salads Deserts and of coarse Beer & other beverages.Just give it a try once and you will be hooked.

I loved this restaurant SO much! We could't actually go in and eat, we did takeout. (We try to support the local in this challenging time!) Lots of meat, very filling! We got the Family deal! It was very good! They take very good precautions for the Coronavirus. They just put it in your trunk! Love the food!

Best bbq place in Waterloo! Try the brisket!

Huge amounts of comfort food. Tasty sides. Don't miss out on the corn bread. And the desserts we had were excellent (we had to pack up some of our main course to leave room)

The meats were really good. We had the pulled pork, brisket and ribs! All moist and flavorful with some nice BBQ sauce options at the table. The idea of platters allows for 2, 3, 4 and 5 meat selections with the 2 and 3 meat options meant for a single person. Rice and beans, tater tots, seasonal veggies all great sides. Found the coleslaw a little on the salty side though tonight. A good sized glass of brew at special price of $5 rounded it out! While we didn't have room for dessert, the baker was on vacation, so we didn't have a chance at dessert anyways. Very reasonable priced meals, will not break the bank! All around, an excellent choice for some good smoked meat selections! Have to go back on a Thursday night to try the Montreal Smoked Meat special some time!

Favourite restaurant in KW. Had takeout there tonight; the 4 meat share platter. Amazing! Best server in the world, Steve, looked after me. Place is 100/100! Everything is perfect! Go there; you will never be disappointed!

Stopped by for takeout, but ended up staying for a beer on the patio. Pulled pork sandwich was great (not super amazing), but the curly fries were just fantastic. I've really enjoyed the meat platters on past visits as well. Very friendly service, and the staff is wearing PPE.

The Lanc has a fabulous menu full of great BBQ and a huge selection of beer on tap. You get a huge amount of food and everything we tried was delicious. (We shared our food around to try a bit of everything and still took home enough food for a second meal.)

I am assuming that if you dine in the food would be much better. I ordered out, I got a chicken burger which was cold and the bun was very hard. Also no fork for the mac and chesse.

Food was great! I got the fried chicken sandwich which was so good! The tabasco mayo with pickles was a fantastic combo. The chicken was moist too which I was worried about since most chicken sandwiches are dry to me. I also got it with onion rings which was personally too fattening for me - I felt like I was eating straight up fat. But the sweet potato fries were great! Service was quick as well. I would come back to try their ribs!

My buddy introduced me to the place. Great Southern smokehouse. The 2 meat platter was the perfect amount of good food... left with a full belly. The baked beans tasted like chilly with a bit of sweetness... I'll be getting that side again. Next time I'm in Kitchener/Waterloo I'll definitely be going back.

Same huge portions and delicious food as always. I came here for lunch on a weekday and it's obviously very popular. Great selection of craft beers and the food is amazing. I wouldn't plan on eating your whole meal ;) We had a charismatic server for my visit. Seemed right in line with the Deep South food and ambiance.

Always come here and love it, my boyfriend from out of town bugs me everytime to come here. Me and everyone I know loves the brisket and I've even bought both of their barbecue sauces. Definitely walking away full and satisfied. Haven't had a chance to try their desert stuff but it definitely looks good. Great staff who are knowledgeable about the food and friendly.

I treat myself to their ribs on my birthday almost every year. Delicious food and quite large portions. Can't go wrong.

Super yummy! Service was upbeat and kind, and the atmosphere was great! I got a pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious! My friend got a chicken sandwich and she said it was the best. The others got meat platters and they loved it. A bit pricey, but very worth it!

Parking was full, but there was a wedding upstairs and we made do. Outside the wonderful smell of smoking meat. Inside, lots of tables with a warm rustic atmosphere. Waitress was friendly and quick to get us seated. Food didn't take too long and tasted great.Portion size was good, the brisket was amazing !I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Delicious, fast service, good portion size. Good quality food (makes places like Montana's look like fast food). And very reasonable prices. Nothing to complain about. Will be coming back.

Services was incredibly quick, got a meat platter and it was delicious. Would highly recommend and the pulled pork and brisket. Atmosphere was nice and the prices were very reasonable.

Went here for lunch today and the food was super awesome. I had the hot chicken tenders...(They were flippin amazing but fire hot), side of beans & rice, coleslaw and cornbread... Yummy. Wife had the pulled pork with beans and giant onion rings. Super delicious as well. The waitress was superb and extremely nice. First time there but for sure will return again.

The server was a guy don't want to defame anyone. But you must not come across as judgemental toward customers based on what I order. I am diabetic so keep your ignorant comments to yourself better leave the serving to beautiful women staff.

Best smoked BBQ I have had in this area! Service was relatively fast and very respectful and polite. Will definitely go back.Girlfriend and I order the 4 meat plus 3 sides platter ($49) and it was more food than two people SHOULD (not could... We could have) eat. Worth the $$. Waiter had it all packaged up to go as soon as he saw we stopped eating.

First time here. Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The brisket was amazing, the onion rings could have been the meal. Large portions ... almost everyone I saw leaving had a take-away container with food they didn't finish ( as did I ). Definitely going to return for another round. And dont forget the salad.
